According to Aaron Wilson, the Colts worked out the following safeties on Friday: Chris Clemons, Dejon Gomes, M.D. Jennings, Jerron McMillian, Bacarri Rambo, and Jamarca Sanford.

The primary reason being that the Colts are possibly down to 3 safeties this weekend with back-up safety Colt Anderson dealing with a sore groin (questionable).

Out of the group, 6-year veteran Chris Clemons looks the best on paper. He started all 32 games for the Dolphins during the prior 2 seasons af safety, and graded out favorably according to the advanced statistics provided by ProFootball Focus, ranking as the 19th best safety overall in 2013.

While no one of the group was signed, it appears that the Colts were at least kicking the tires to see if they could bolster this unit’s depth.
